The customer acknowledges that classic Land Rovers are subject to age-related wear, corrosion, fatigue, previous repairs, and modifications. Restoration and repair work is inherently unpredictable, and hidden defects may only become apparent once dismantling begins.
All quotations are estimates only, based on visible inspection and information available at the time. Quotations do not constitute a fixed price unless expressly stated in writing. Additional repairs may be required for safety, reliability, or completion.
Full and partial restorations are undertaken on a staged basis. Completion or payment of any stage does not imply a fixed total cost or an obligation to complete further stages.
Any timescales provided are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays may arise due to parts availability, fabrication requirements, specialist subcontractors, or unforeseen issues. Time shall not be of the essence.
Work may involve the use of new, reconditioned, remanufactured, or used parts unless otherwise agreed in writing. Customer-supplied parts are fitted entirely at the customer's risk.
Payment is due immediately on invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing. Deposits and stage payments are non-refundable once work has commenced or parts have been ordered.
Where a vehicle has been booked into a scheduled workshop slot, cancellation within 14 days of the agreed start date may incur a charge to cover reserved workshop time and any parts already ordered. Deposits paid to secure a booking are non-refundable once that slot has been reserved.
Classic British Land Rovers is part of Pelican Holdings LLC. All vehicles remain subject to a mechanic's lien until all invoices have been paid in full and cleared. Vehicles not collected within 14 days of notification of completion may be subject to storage charges.
Workmanship is guaranteed for 3 months from completion unless otherwise stated. Where a defect in workmanship is identified within this period, we will repair the fault free of charge. This warranty does not cover used or customer-supplied parts, or failures due to age, corrosion, or design limitations, and does not extend to consequential losses.
We accept no responsibility for pre-existing damage, deterioration, corrosion, oil leaks, electrical faults, or mechanical failures attributable to the age or prior condition of the vehicle. Our liability is limited to the value of the work invoiced, except where prohibited by law.
Vehicles are stored and worked on at the customer's risk. The customer is responsible for ensuring the vehicle remains insured at all times.
Vehicles may be road tested where necessary for diagnostic purposes or to confirm repairs.
We may take photographs of vehicles during the course of work for record-keeping, diagnostic, and marketing purposes, including use on our website and social media. Customers who do not wish their vehicle to be used for marketing purposes should notify us in writing prior to work commencing.
We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations where this results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including fire, flood, supplier or parts shortages, or failure of subcontractors.
Vehicles left unpaid or uncollected for more than 90 days may be treated as abandoned. In such cases we will issue written notice to the customer's last known address before proceeding to recover outstanding costs through disposal of the vehicle, in accordance with the notice procedure set out under the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
